Ayurveda Food, Treatment & Yoga Therapy

Art of Ayurvedic Cooking

According to traditional Ayurveda, Food is one of the fundamental medicine and an essential part of healing. Throughout the ATT training, you will discover how to transform vegetables, grains, legumes, herbs, and spices into flavourful meals that support health, vitality, and balance.

In the Ayurvedic Cooking Training, you will learn how to prepare nourishing, balanced, and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and healthy snacks. The recipes are simple, practical, and easy to recreate, allowing you to confidently prepare wholesome food for yourself, your family, and your future clients.

You will gain an understanding of the medicinal qualities of food and learn how to use nutrition as a therapeutic tool. By studying Ayurvedic principles, you will learn how to choose and prepare foods according to an individual's constitution (Prakriti) and current state of imbalance (Vikriti).

The training also covers:

  • The six tastes (Rasa) and their effects on the body and mind.
  • The medicinal properties of Ayurvedic herbs and spices.
  • How different foods influence the three forces — Kapha, Vata and Pitta.
  • The relationship between food, the five elements, digestion (Agni), and overall wellbeing.
  • Seasonal and daily dietary guidelines according to Ayurveda.
  • How to create balanced meals that support health, prevention, and healing.

By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to prepare authentic Ayurvedic meals and confidently incorporate dietary guidance into your work as an Ayurveda therapist. You will understand how food can be used to restore balance, strengthen digestion, and support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing—making nutrition an integral part of holistic Ayurvedic care.

Traditional Massage Techniques

Touch is one of the most profound forms of healing. In Ayurveda, massage is much more than a physical treatment—it is an act of presence, compassion, and connection. During this training, you will learn how to touch with awareness, sensitivity, and an open heart, creating a deeply nourishing experience for your clients while also cultivating mindfulness within yourself.

Throughout this practical and comprehensive training, you will learn the traditional techniques of the most important Ayurvedic massage therapies:

  • Abhyanga – Full Body Ayurvedic Oil Massage
  • Mukabhyanga – Ayurvedic Face Massage
  • Shiroabhyanga – Ayurvedic Head Massage
  • Padabhyanga – Ayurvedic Foot Massage
  • Hasta Abhyanga – Ayurvedic Hand Massage

Each treatment will be demonstrated step by step before you are guided through the complete massage sequence. You will then practise extensively with your fellow students, allowing you to develop confidence, sensitivity, and professional skills through repeated hands-on experience.

To support your learning, you will receive a detailed step-by-step manual for every massage technique, enabling you to continue practising long after the training has finished.

Beyond mastering the techniques, you will learn the art of conscious touch—the ability to offer each treatment with presence, compassion, and deep respect. In today's fast-paced world, genuine, healing touch has become increasingly rare. This training invites you to rediscover touch as one of the most powerful tools for restoring balance, trust, and wellbeing.

In addition to the practical techniques, you will gain a solid theoretical foundation, including:

  • The therapeutic benefits and effects of each Ayurvedic massage.
  • Massage directions and techniques
  • The role, presence, and responsibilities of the therapist.
  • Preparing and supporting the client before, during, and after treatment.
  • General contraindications and safety considerations.
  • Recognising and managing responses to Ayurvedic massage.
  • Methods for relieving symptoms that may arise during or after treatment.
  • The properties and therapeutic applications of traditional Ayurvedic oils.
  • Preparation of selected medicinal herbal oils.
  • An introduction to the basic Marma points and their significance in Ayurvedic healing.

You will also learn about the unique qualities of Ayurvedic medicinal oils, their indications for different constitutions and conditions, and how these oils are prepared using traditional methods.

By understanding the relationship between herbal oils and its effects on various forces: Kapha, Pitta and Vata in a human body-mind system, you can select most appropriate healing treatment for each individual based on their birth constitution (Prakruti) or balance/imbalance state (Vikruti).

By the end of this training, you will be able to confidently perform authentic Ayurvedic massage treatments with skill, presence, and care. More than learning techniques, you will develop the ability to create a safe and healing space where touch becomes a powerful tool for restoring balance, promoting wellbeing, and supporting the body's natural capacity to heal.

Ayurveda Yoga Therapy

Yoga is much more than physical postures. When practiced through the wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga becomes a personalized therapy that supports the body's natural ability to cleanse, restore balance, and promote long term health and wellbeing.

In this course, you will learn and practice yoga therapy sequences to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Each morning includes dedicated self practice, allowing you to establish a strong personal routine while experiencing firsthand how an individualized yoga program can transform both body and mind.

You will be introduced to the five pillars of Ayurveda Yoga Therapy:

Dharana (Focus)
Every practice begins with setting the right intention. Dharana helps you shift your attention away from the daily life and become fully present, actively steering your practice in the right direction.

Pranayama (Breathing excersices)
You will practice therapeutic breathing techniques to balance the flow of prana, your vital life energy. Through conscious breathing, the solar plexus, regarded in Ayurveda and yoga as the body's energetic center, is recharged, supporting physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

Vinyasa (Breath and Movement)
Gentle sequences of synchronized movement and breath help distribute this renewed life energy throughout the body. These flowing practices improve circulation, mobility, coordination, and the free movement of prana to every cell.

Asana (Therapeutic Postures)
Rather than following a one size fits all approach, each yoga posture is selected according to a person’s PDE, the current state of balance or imbalance, and individual health needs. Practiced with mindful attention and conscious breathing, the asanas develop strength, flexibility, stability, and inner balance while supporting the body's natural healing processes.

Dhyana (Meditation)
The practice concludes with meditation, allowing you to integrate the effects of the session. As physical tension begins to dissolve, deeper emotional patterns may naturally surface and release. Dhyana helps you observe these experiences with awareness rather than attachment, calming the mind and supporting a lasting sense of peace, clarity, and emotional resilience.

By the end of the course, you will not only understand the principles of Ayurvedic yoga therapy, but also have the knowledge to build short personalized yoga programs for yourself and others based on each person's unique constitution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Beginners

Q: Can I apply to ATT if I am a beginner to Ayurveda?

In this intensive Ayurveda Therapy Training we teach everything from the basics of Ayurveda. So you don’t need to have previous experience in the field of Ayurveda or Yoga to apply for the ATT, but have a passion to make a change in the world by finding your inner therapist as well as helping the people around you to find their utmost health with the tools of this ancient health science.

Yoga Practitioners

Q: Can I use the ATT to take my yoga practice to the next level?

Yoga without the knowledge of Ayurveda is like dancing without music, considering Ayurveda is the root of many health practices including yoga and meditation.

If you are a yoga practitioner, it is very important to know the ‘right’ yoga program that will help you to achieve your maximum FBS (Flexibility, Balance and Strength). Though most yoga asanas you are presently practicing on your mat are believed to be good, ATT will open your eyes to find that some of the asanas are better and a few among them are even the best for your body-mind constitution. When you gain the knowledge of the asanas’ therapeutic effects in your body and mind system, you will be able to make your own therapeutic program at your any age and health condition.

If you feel that this is the right time to take your practice into the next level and start to inspire others to use yoga as a tool to find a healthier and more joyful life, ATT will give you the foundational knowledge you need to start your self practice and share your experience to your community.

Yoga teachers

Q: Can ATT upgrade my knowledge and help me to design individual programs for my clients?

If you are already a yoga teacher and are looking for an opportunity to upgrade your present knowledge in yoga into therapeutic practice of yoga, ATT is one of the best foundational courses in India.

Once you witness the therapeutic benefits of yoga by slowly introducing Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy programs among your students based on their constitution (prakruti) or imbalance (vikruti), you can later join our advance AYTT (Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Training) and upgrade your wisdom from a yoga teacher to a yoga therapist.

Since there are hundreds of yoga teachers passing out every year and start to work in your city it is important to keep your reputation in the field of yoga by earning the unique knowledge in Ayurveda Yoga Therapy.

The ATT certification course will be a compliment to your present wisdom in yoga, which will place a corner stone in your profession to start moving in the direction of a yoga therapist in your area and promote you to work as a personal trainer in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda.
